Laura Ravenscroft – Direct Sales, MLM

How it started:  Laura was raised on a ranch in Montana and knew John Moore in High School. She enjoyed drama and the ranch life. She met Ray after college and married in 1977. Laura accepted Christ watching PTL on TV in her rural home 45 miles south of Miles City. Even there she felt a burden lift off of her life as she was being born again.

 

Laura bought an air purification machine after discovering it would produce the same smell as the ozone machine her grandfather had used. The seller was a friend who months later said she needed another dealer and invited Laura to a promotion. Laura was working as a paraprofessional/substitute teacher when she decided to make her portion of the family pay check from direct sales in spite of the “bad taste” left from a previous MLM experience.

 

Personal Passion: Laura enjoys worship and intercession. More recently, God has been giving her divine appointments to see Kings in action. She’s seen people positioned financially to facilitate ministry and has a heart to be a King herself. She found the distinction between Priests and Kings liberating. Laura is currently a board member for the Women's Resource Center, the crisis-pregnancy center for North Platte and the surrounding area. She is also praise and worship leader for her church’s care center ministry.

 

Personal Benefit: Laura has had the opportunity to meet and hear firsthand the stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things through her business. The opportunities to learn from mentors and extend her ministry to the new people she meets continually has grown her spiritually. The reading, networking, and divine appointments have matured her in business as well. She enjoys the prospect of being available for volunteer work with her extra time.

 

Value to others: Alhough the air purification product Laura sells is not a medical device it has enabled people with asthma, allergy, pet odor issues to have “thunderstorm fresh” air in their homes which in turn brings relief from the  symptoms related to these health problems. Add to that a whole line of healthy livings technologies which include water and nutrition products and the benefits she brings to her customers are multiplied. She’s also developing a ministry that connects people like herself with the practical implementation of success.

 

Business Potential (upside):  Laura’s original goal was to double her salary as a paraprofessional/substitute teacher. She does expect to achieve that goal along with the added benefit of new opportunities to minister to people.

 

Complexities, failures (downside): Laura's MLM is not a get-rich-quick approach to business. It takes hours of talking to people and marketing. It does require selling in the beginning levels and a sales background can be helpful.

 

Vision for the Kingdom: Laura’s business success is a platform for sharing what God has done for her. It’s part of her message to heal the broken hearted and give others hope for a brighter future.

 

Impact from Releasing Kings: Laura read Releasing Kings twice when it first came out last year. The original “wow” was the realization that she didn’t have to feel 2nd rate for not being in the Priestly ministry. It’s OK to be called to business. She is also refreshed, encouraged and inspired by the weekly newsletters.
