How it started: Steve’s career as a Christian businessman has put him on the leading edge of new Kingdom initiatives for almost three decades.  His entrepreneurial background started with a father who was a successful life long door-to-door salesman.  Steve started his in retail sales and management with a high fashion department store chain, The Bon Marche.  He was called into ministry and immediately moved into an administrative/ministry role – the business side of ministry - as a partner development specialist at Melodyland School of Theology (a dynamic church and Bible College that was at the center of the Charismatic movement in the early 70’s).

He has consistently been in positions of responsibility to develop and manage new resource development programs and launch dynamic and innovative projects designed to rally support for national and international ministry and evangelism.  Included in these pacesetting programs are: ministry counseling centers, international TV programs, projects for youth education, product marketing, and institutions for Christian education ranging from kindergarten to post graduate Universities.

He has always been commitment to networking with the friends and partners of ministry organizations to rally financial support. The dramatic results of his commitment to heartfelt ministry, management integrity, and leading edge marketing have demonstrated the power of “friend raising” rather than fund raising.

Organizations and ministries served, include:

Christian Broadcasting Network, Crossroads Christian Communications, LeTourneau Ministries International, Bon Marche Department Store, Conservative Baptist Church, Teen Aid, Robertson for President Campaign, Benny Hinn Evangelistic Association, Christ for all Nations – Reinhard Bonnke, Skye Village, The Mercantile, Chi Alpha Campus Ministries, Jewish Voice  Ministries  International, Ellison Media Company, Black Evangelistic Association, Union Gospel Mission – Spokane & Tacoma, Northwest Christian Schools, Daybreak Youth Ministries, Gerald Mann Ministries, Melodyland School of Theology, Development Association for Christian Institutions, Founders Inn & Conference Center

Steve has recently observed that the dynamics for raising support for ministry and evangelism have changed. Today, he sees vast opportunities for Christian business people in the emerging world marketplace.  This fundamental shift of the focus on fund raising promises to generate new ways to support existing ministry programs and open new frontiers for evangelism.  It will also build as Christian businessmen and women understand the important dynamic of networking in the growing marketplace movement.

Building on the foundation of tried and tested experiences; Steve is now committed to putting out the call to a new breed of Kingdom builder entrepreneur to impact their world.

Personal Passion:   Steve’s personal passion is to pass the “Kingly” mantle to the next generation.  He understands the challenges involved in making huge initiatives a reality and he enjoys working with teams of people who are passionate to implement the next move of God’s people.  It’s in Steve’s heart to rally an army of kings to “build” God’s Kingdom with a special focus on the mentoring of young adults through a special training program call “The Network”.

“The Network” is all about teaching young people to be all they can be in the Lord – not just to get out of school debt free but to live a life of prosperity and generosity. Steve is dedicated to launching nation-wide, small group training for 16-22 year-olds called “The Network”.  The concept of “The Network” is based on a successful pilot program that successfully taught teenagers how to make money and support missions.

Steve’s extended family moved to Spokane to be become immersed in the emerging market place movement.  He has begun by developing multiple streams of income with his sons and networking with other Christian entrepreneurs in the local and regional market place.

Personal Benefit:  Steve receives great satisfaction in helping people get involved in the purposes of God.  He appreciates the fact that when they do, there is a resulting inner peace resulting in the gratification of working together to do great things.  Steve naturally gravitates to teams of people networking to do something much larger than their individual parts.  In his lifetimes, Steve had moved from relating to Kings as donors’, to networking with them on worthwhile initiatives, to becoming one of them and actually experiencing the increase and miraculous provision of God’s abundance.

Value to others:  Mentoring the next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs fulfills an apostolic commission that has increased emphasis in the body of Christ right now.  Steve is helping people to network and work together to grow in their understanding of character and integrity and make marketplace ministry a personal reality.

Business Potential (upside):  Steve’s personal goal is to position himself for generosity through multiple streams of income from several different business endeavors.  He is working with his sons to start a computer gaming Café in Spokane and buying houses for renovation and resale.  He’s networking with local banking and real estate mentors to research and bid on foreclosures with a “nothing down” approach.

Complexities, failures (downside):  Being on the forward edge of innovation has inherent challenges.  Starting businesses and real estate ventures can be “slow moving” at the beginning.  The Lord has led Steve and his sons to mentors and provided the financial resources to make it happen one step at a time.

Vision for the Kingdom:  Steve’s vision is to raise up an army of like-minded people to move forward withn God’s plan to take His Word and love to the world.  He believes this is possible because the political and economic environment is ideal to multiply the efforts of entrepreneurs.

Impact from Releasing Kings:  Steve read the Releasing King manuscript even before it was published.  He was fascinated by its’ message.  It confirmed exactly what the Lord was emphasizing in his spirit.  In it he found confirmation for the scriptural imperative to empower businessmen to help fulfill the vision of equipping and empowering generations with prosperity and purpose
